Lotado atualmente na Coordenadoria de Recursos Especiais – CORE/ PCERJ, CLAUDIO ANDRADE, iniciou sua carreira militar no ano de 1993, quando ingressou para o Corpo de Fuzileiros Navais da Marinha do Brasil e no ano de 1999 foi aprovado nos quadros da Policia Militar do Estado do Rio de Janeiro. Inspetor de Segurança e administração Penitenciaria desde o ano de 2000, Andrade como é conhecido, trabalhou no antigo SOE, Serviço de Operações Externas do DESIPE.

No ano de 2004 foi um dos fundadores do GIT, Grupamento de Intervenção Tática da SEAP/RJ. Lotado no GIT, integrando o núcleo de instrução da unidade, participou ativamente na criação do Centro de Instrução Especializada – CIESP, onde atuou como um dos instrutores até o ano de 2016.

Dentro desses 13 anos de serviço prestado ao GIT atuou como integrante das equipes operacionais, líder de equipe, instrutor do núcleo de instrução, Chefe de Intervenção Tática, e Chefe do Grupamento de Intervenção Tática.

Bacharel em Direito pela Cidade Universidade, e pós-graduado em direito criminal pela Universidade Cândido Mendes, trilhou e se especializou na área operacional tendo a seguinte qualificação profissional:
